!!New Training Sessions!!

posted 29 Jan 2013, 03:33 by Ross Ordoña   [ updated 26 Apr 2013, 07:00 ]

I’m delighted to inform you that PCYBA (after several attempts) has been successful in its application for funding from ‘Sport England / Lottery Funded’. This award will enable us to add 2 more training sessions to our basketball programme which will focus more on ‘Girls Only 14+’ and ‘Boys Only 18+’

Having a separate ‘Girls/Ladies Only’ training should encourage more girls participation in the sport even if it’s only for health and/or social aspects and the ‘Boys/Mens Only’ training will become an exit route from our regular ‘U18 Open Training’ on Sundays.  This will enable our players to continue playing basketball after they turn 18 years old and also open up our doors to other 18+ years old players who wish to participate in our basketball programme.

The new training sessions will be held at a new venue in Gumley School every Saturday and will commence on February 2nd 2013.  Go to the 'Training' section of the website for more details.

I hope you will help support this effort by taking part, if you’re eligible, or by simply spreading the words to others that you think might be interested.
