A reminder to all that membership for 2012 is now due for renewal.

Membership benefits:
Reduced Training Fee.
Available for selection to play in League Games.
Membership to England Basketball which includes;
Personal Insurance (minimum cover only. See England Basketball website for Insurance Cover details)
10% discount on England Basketball Online Shop.
Membership form will be available from the registration table during training or you can email coachross@tamarawsbasketball.comto request for a copy.

'Just Girls' Basketball

Starting in October, PCYBA will have a separate basketball training session for the girls in order to encourage more girls to take up the sport. The 'Just Girls' Basketball is sponsored by Pro-Active West London and will be FREE OF CHARGE during the ClubsFest 2011.

The participants will receive coaching lessons on fundamentals of the game through simple & fun group drills and a mini game at the end of each session.
It will be an ideal Taster session for those who just want to try the sport as training is designed for Beginners and Intermediate.

Re-Schedules Games

The cancelled games from December 19th has been re-scheduled. Please go to the Fixtures page to see all the changes that applies.
I will also hand out the new game schedules at our training sessions.

The PCYBA Under 10's Tamaraws will again be playing in this seasons CVL in Chessington. The teams are;

       PCYBA Tamaraws
       Spelthorne Atoms

Woking U10

MVP

Woking Girls

Kingston Wildcats

It will be the same format as last year where a single meeting per month, 2 games will be played at the same time and each team will play 3 games on the day.

The dates of the fixtures are as follows;

    * 14th November
    * 19th December
    * 23rd January 2011
    * 20th February
    * 20th March
    * 10th April

Finals day top two teams in league
    * 8th May 2011

Full games schedules will follow soon. Please do your best to make this dates available for your kids to play.

PCYBA Awarded 2 STAR Accreditation!!

England Basketball has recognised our basketball club and awarded us with a 2 Star Accreditation. This is a major achievement for our young basketball club and a milestone towards a Club Mark Accreditation.

Congratulations to all the players and volunteers involved in making this possible and keep up the good work!

Help A London Child Fund

PCYBA has been successful in receiving funding from Help a London Child through PRO-ACTIVE West London, to subsidise the Basketball Academy from 22^nd March.

As well as helping us keep the cost of each session to a minimal rate, this funding will also allow us to enter a competitive league in September and develop some of our future coaches.
